He is now super active and love to crawl around and then try to stand up and cruise...

7-Dec Wednesday

We were at my mum's place having advanced birthday celebration and eating n enjoying the foods
It started with Gabriel having rashes on his feet, legs and palm and also the arms...
I was abit worried and wonder what has caused it, could it be my parents' place not so clean, that made G's sensitive skin to outbreak?
After a bath at my mum place, his rashes subsided abit... So we shrug off the idea of HFMD
The same night, we could feel Gabriel having mild grade fever...

8-Dec Thursday

MIL ask Caleb not to come since Gabriel was having fever and rashes... Heard that Caleb having some super big insect bites on his legs on Wednesday too which looks like blister
I was also down with high fever, vomiting and diarrohea, MC and resting at SK..
With help of MIL and FIL who went to help us Q up at ABC clinic, we managed to get a number 6!! I was so sick and luckily FIL went up to fetch me with Raphael(so happy to see me)
By the time i reach HG, Gabriel was down with 38.3 fever, me on a lighter note, 38.6!! haha
We went to see doctor and Dr Anthony check and say it may be viral fever and viral rash as he couldnt see any ulcers in Gabriel throat.
But there is 1 ulcer in Gabriel mouth and he give us medicine to apply, telling us that in next 3-4 days if blister appear, may be HFMD

09-Dec Friday

Gabriel fever subsided but rashes still there and i notice 2 more ulcers coming up, total 3ulcers...Appetite for milk drops but loves to take yogurt and pear puree, so let it be

10-Dec Saturday

Caleb confirmed HFMD with blisters... Followed by Ian and Yvette :(
We were thinking Gabriel may be spared as according to doc, no ulcers in throat, no blisters....So we thought...our kids be ok
Who knows....

11-Dec Sunday

We called up ICR and told the teacher that Raphael not going to school as we are worried he may get HFMD... so we skipped this class
By evening, Raphael started having fever and vomitted.... I started to worry liao...rashes also appear... *heart sank*

12-Dec Monday

He was very sick, with high fever, keep crying, cant eat anything... alot of rashes .... Mil and Fil again help us to take Q number at ABC clinic.
Today, it was Daddy's turn to feel sick, same symptom as what i undergo, high fever, vomit and lao sai....
Confirmed Raphael HFMD, throat full of ulcers...one look, confirmed....given tons of medicine and spend $170!!!

13-Dec Tuesday

Worst hit! High fever,ulcers multiply and I lost track of his ulcers..he was very very cranky and in pain..cry and cry and ask me not to work..
Feeling bad I explain to boss i really need to take Urgent leave... haiz
Spend the day with him and take care of him... he couldnt talk much, let alone drink water...had to think of all ways to make him drink..
mouth super smelly and he slimmed down alot...really alot... at least by 1+kg... From 22.5 to 21kg
By evening he was cranky again...super cry baby....(oh...all these while, Gabriel seems to have recovered...Rashes gone...)

14-Dec Wednesday

Mil make ling yang and feeded him... seems to improved his condition and Ye ye is able to make him drink medicine without any struggle!!
Fever gone, left with ulcers... at least 50 hor!!!! Can u imagine the pain of us having 1 ulcers already so pain...LET ALONE 50!!! shit man

Still ling yang day.... Yvette and Ian are free of HFMD!! *Three cheers!!!!!*Very yang orr, and I see Gabriel also seems to be more yang orrr liao!!

MIL cook pumpkin porridge and he ate abit... also with ling yang...
luckily I have them to help out while we were at work..else... i duno how many days of leaves i got to burn becoz of this HFMD episode...
And they do help to buy chinese medicine which those like ling yang i do believe in their cooling effectiveness...

To be honest, i am very unhappy about one of the colleague ...

My kids are down with HFMD and this is a fact... I have to report back to work despite much wanting to spend time at home and nursing their sickness..

Unwillingly come backt to work and I hear nonsense like oh u are a carrier of HFMD and may infect my kids..why dont u take unpaid leave etc...it takes at least 10days blah blah blah

It really pissed me off.... given a choice u tink i wan to go back to work? with my kids crying at home?

I am already very vexed with all the cryings and at work i still faced all these shit..

come on... ur kids may catch virus from those childrens they contact with... ridiculous...

i am just buay song...anyway shall talk less to those with kids... DND

Honestly...Am losing track of stuffs I buy.... Also noticed the kids drawers are getting overwhelming..AGAIN!!!

Yeah..Some pple out of jealousy will call me shopaholic...some say I buy without thinking...Well...I can only say... I only splurge on my kids... Buying things for myself I will tend to think for very very long time..Sometimes that thought or wish to get that particular item for myself, will not be realized......

When u see the kids wearing nicely, looking so...cute,handsome...nice... well..the cost is not the main issue i supposed...

Now happily waiting for the 13th month bonus, Variable bonus before I embark on my new 2012!!!!

Hong Kong Disneyland Trip - Nov 2011

There is only one word to describe the disneyland stay - MAGICAL!!!

Do I want to go back again? Yes I WIll and be back for longer night stay next round!!!

After looking through the photos I have to admit that Raphael is all smiles at disneyland themepark and hotel... It was a place he been looking forward to go since we informed him about this holiday trip....

He loves it so much that he cried big time during checkout and saw our luggage being pushed out to taxi stand... no choice leh... if I had know of this earlier... would have get another 1-2 night stay and let him enjoy more there.... nvm... another planned trip be 2012!!! We be back!!!

There is a difference between coming back from this trip and other trips... do not feel as broke though my total damage from my end was 2+1k = 3k!! hahahaaaaaaaaa

Well.... Been eyeing the scrub and the aloe wash for long time but been rather stingy to go ahead and purchased it... But it was through a conversation with Yvonne, her review of the scrub is so good that I decided to purchase and pamper myself... been always splurging on kids..time to buy for myself...

the scrub is really good... though price abit steep... but...for the "clean" after feel and the aroma of lavender,...i would recommend u to go for it...

The FHB wash is good too!!! love the lavender smell as i had opted to add this into my wash!!! good for those who are tired of normal body wash/shampoo!!!!!

It is so chio to hear of a shoe that change color under the sun and i was so excited that I wanted to buy straight away for Raphael!!! So that day at Vivo, I walked into the Crocs shop with a mentality that i will BUY!!!

But after knowing the retail price which is selling at $75!! (Basket! Gmarket selling at $20!!! ) I merely let ah phael try on the size!

Took appx 2 weeks for it to arrived and am happy with it!!! for the price and fascinating color change feature...worth the $19!!! heheheeeee

Now comtemplating whether to get that blue one too! :D

Gabriel High Fever on 11-Oct-2011

Mil called to tell me Gabriel was feverish and she put that kool sticker on his forehead...appetite and others as normal...

So didnt really worried much as luckily i have the fever medicine in my bag!!

When we reach SK home and i realised he is still on high fever leh... 38+degree!!! Bo bian, despite drinking ling yang at 8pm, i still fed him the fever medicine at 9pm!! (Hearsay cannot mix chinese and ang mo medicine together...but...no choice...got to bring down that fever lar)

Woke up at 2am and was pretty scary to see his temperature shooting up to 39degree in middle of night... arrrh!!!! think he feel thirsty as he finished his milk pretty fast...hmmm... then he continue to zzz while i sponge n sponge...within an hour temperature start to drop and was relieved and took a nap...

At 5am, Benji feed him the pink medicine... hehee..his turn to feed !!

Hope he recover soon.... Teething???

Kindermusic Trial - Gabriel 09-Oct-2011

Short blog on this as I believe Daddy will blog this trial in the main blog ba... Sweetest thing I saw Raphael did was to hug Gabriel when he was crying as one of the baby accidentally knock him down... and he collapse with another cutie!!!

Was a fun trial and I hope we be back for lessons after he turn 1YO ba!!! Save up save up now!

Gabriel First Fall - 3-Oct-2011 (Monday Night)

I know that nobody will want it to happen and especially the immediate family but it did happen.

This serves as a note to his fall and I would want to jot down this as a memory to his growth too.

It happen at Nai nai's house and while she was bathing gabriel, putting the tub on one chair and Gabriel suddenly kick and the whole tub topple...

All I heard was a loud noise followed by Gabriel's loud cries... Rushed in to see him cryin and the right forehead swollen... Heartpain to see this but... nobody want it to happen... Understand... hopefully he will not fall from bath tub again..

Lesson learnt: put 2 chairs instead of one...so that the tub be stable....

Close to 1k Adonis Pedicure + Product Package

As usual went for my pedicure session at Adonis and was given super VIP attention and they started to ask me if i wan to sign package etc...

was thinking since Benji always goes to Nex for his massage..WHY NOT?
so got this 16session @$500 pedicure package and also got a $350 with extra $50 credit product package...

Raphael enjoyed the attention given and he even soaked his feet in the warm water while chit chatting with the aunties!!

I had always find my feet super dry and cracking and trying to find remedy to it... also my hands are always dry and cracked...

Holiday Trips!!!

Yeah, We have few trips up and coming

1) Kukup
Just went to MY last weekend and I must say that its a culture shock for myself!

I didnt expect that the river be so dirty with shits and urine and not forgetting the rubbish thrown into it!! Not forgetting the huge gang of houseflies all around!

The river smell and it was my first time seeing those mud fish skiddling in the mud when its low tide!

Its pretty amusing to see my Father In law volunteering to throw my rubbish into the river!! hahaa... I thought why he was so gan cheong and ask me want that anot... Dont want, "dom" it goes into the river!!

No private bedroom and no personal toilet...Common bathrooms shared like a chalet..To me more like a chalet with powerful aircon and so fun to play with little Yvette and Ian!! Ian was so affectionate to baby Gabriel and overall I see Phael enjoying playing with them

Baby Caleb as usual was topless most of the times as he is scared of hot and humid weather!!!

Hopefully next family gathering the bus be bigger and spacious!!

2) Hong Kong Disneyland Luxury Trip!

This is a trip which we had been waiting for and a trip without any budget constraints..just splurge and enjoy!! Book Disneyland hotel and also 2 day pass to disneyland, then will be staying over in Luxurious hotel Excelsoir!!!!!

Will be getting this cruise FOC!!! YEAH!! must find out more details on how much to top up for the kids!

Was actually lazy to start him on solid food as I remember how I battle with Raphael when he was 6mth old.... no matter what I give...he gave me that look!!! (I think he can be my khaki)

Started Gabriel on Happy Bellies Brown Rice Cereals and he is very happy to eat leh! Even made some pear puree and he is happily eating them!!!! YES!

Been going all crazy over foods.... I guess when u are way underweight and still losing no matter how much u are eating..u be like me... eating food which I love n crave for!!!

The happiest thing which I can think of being a working mum with income from FT and PT really make our family life gets more comfortable and with more spare cash. Seeing them use and play with what I had purchased make my day!!!!

Its not as if previously I didnt buy alot of stuffs... Just that now i buy without the need to worry my acct left how much... Obviously my endless loots and pictures posted caused some sour grapes to feel unbalance and started to rant how toys retards kids creativity and development... Well... if u wan to mould a object using Clay, do u use the cheap material like FLOUR and do it ??? Obviously not right....You would spend some $ and get a proper toy for ur kid...Who can u blame if u opt to be a homemaker and with no income and keep complaining???? ONLY YOURSELF my dear...

I would say that only those who cannot afford to buy will say things like that... We always believe that if money is the problem, then it never is a real problem to us who are working... We earn and spend happily... Splurging on kids...isnt this what we look for end of the day?

Yeah!! We are off today and Went to Nex for a simple birthday celebration...

Booked a show at 3pm for Transformer and we head off to have a simple lunch!

Initially Ben suggested food court but as usual I prefer to pay more to eat something special...so ...end up we went to eat at Grandma's

The Soup is nice, followed by Yummy Nasi Lemak and Chicken Rice..and a free dessert Chendol...

Dinner @ Paradise Inn was yummy and I think we over-Ordered! But we finished the food nevertheless... Yummm!!!!

We went home shortly after dinner as Raphael was running a mild grade fever.... See how excited Phael is to have a bite on the slice of cake!

(Above is my latest record which I achieve on 1-July-2011, 5am pump...overslept and didnt pump for ard 8hours.... got 280*3+140+70 = 1050ml or more)

I would think those who know me would love to kill me for discarding aways my excess EBM on a daily basis...
Currently am pumping at 7am, 11am, 4pm, 8pm, 12am...5 pumps yielding appx 600ml to 800ml of milk depending on how much time i have allocated myself to pump...

So is an average of 3Litre to 4Litre of milk daily...

No matter how hard i tried to feed both kids...I am always left with tons of milk to discard...

Gabriel drink 730am, 10am, 12pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 930pm, 1am, 4am.... appx 8 feeds as usually 4am feed is missed... 8X 140=1.12L

Raphael will consume appx 2 feeds of EBM, 2 X 140 = 280ML...

See...my excess is 3L- 1.4L = 1.6L, as little as 1.6L thrown away to 2.6L thrown away daily!!!

I had a few bad engorgement episode whereby now i am more religious to clear and more persistent to finish clearing ... esp ytd... I didnt feel it until after lunch..

the "blue black" feeling creeps back and it is damn bad...hurt very badly... i thought it was due to my water consumption...maybe i drink too much fluid...so feel the tingling sensation at 2pm....

by the time i went to toilet to express @4pm...to my horror i saw the big lump...its like a big piece of hard lump stuck there...wa faint...damn pain and i had difficulty clearing my right breast...even after 20mins stuck in toilet i couldnt clear it at all..

shit lor... walk also feel pain..move abit also pain...then when i reach home i cheong to pump milk... with my little phael standing there playing his game
wasnt able to clear... went to had a HOT HOT shower and keep pushing and massaging that stupid lump...very persistent...resort to using the california baby tub to roll and press hard...

haiyo...finally..after a long long time..i managed to unblock that lump...phew...

Who knows...after my that painful episode... I kana one more on Monday... 27-June-2011, that i had to go Mount E and seek a lactation specialist help to clear that stupid blockage...

It was terrible and i was in pain...great pain...when the LC saw me, she ask me "I poke for u or u go back do urself? I charge u noe?".... $ is not as issue when u are in pain...

Next was a pain which i will never ever forget and i must remind myself to drain the milk as much as i can..no playing cheat...no cut short...

now must remember to clear n clear...so who says got milk is good...

yippie!! I am still losing weight!! today am standing at 62kg!! closer to my ideal weight of 58kg!! lol... 4kg more to go...and i will push further to hit 56kg!! lol...

been a hectic 1 month plus without any help in the day and so far managable!!! luckily can handle...initially feel damn stress especially when both need my attention and Gabriel's cries can be damn loud!!! buay tahan man..

at times i can lose my temper at poor raphael who is fighting so hard for my attention...haiz... trying my best to pay more attention to him...he is such a sweet darling...

Gabriel is more responsive nowadays and will smile when u play or talk to him...

I always know that I have milk...Arrrh....but the agony of having too much milk is sometimes have to get another empty bottle to collect the output... at times i simply went to the basin to pour out some before continue pumping....

Last nite I overslept and didnt express for around 5hours...this is the amount I get!! 550ml!!!! omg...
I been throwing away EBM due to limited fridge space and supply more than demand... HEhehee...

Average each pump i can yield minimum 300ml of EBM...with 3hours intervals...sometimes 2.5hour interval

Been trying to mix into Raphael's milk too...to prevent throwing away the excess... hehee...

I duno if this is a good or bad thing...but something to be sure, yeah, i can save on FM!!

Today is 3rd Feb, first day of CNY and yippie...its the 9th day since i gave birth and now i am 70kg!!! wohooo....

I am targetting another 13kg loss to meet my pre-pregnancy weight lor... happy sia!!!

My bf-ing journey been far too good and i am able to express out between 300ml to 400ml per 3hrly pump...haiz...i duno to be happy or to feel sad...8x300=2.4litres of milk...and Gabriel is only taking 100x10=1litre ...

so technically speaking i am discarding away at least 1+ litres of EBM daily..... not forgetting i am mixing 2 feeds of FM to ensure his jaundice is not caused by BM....

lol, as of 26th Jan 2011, i was still 80kg, 42inches on waist

My birth story for Gabriel on 26th Jan 2011 (Wednesday):

2+am woke up to pee then feel some stomache...but try to sleep back coz Slpy mode ...thinking next morning then go pass motion.... drowsy mode...tired...

245am jump up as I felt something gushing out...indeed my panty and shorts were soaked.. i was still thinking that well, maybe my urine leaked..but when i went to toilet and sit down, further gushes of water came out beyond control... Thats it! I thought! must be water bad burst...could feel the pressure on my tummy and backside... painful...

I went to the playroom, tell Ben... Cham liao..burst liao... He jumped up and say lets go...Packed and check everything.. by then i feel like vomitting and stomach cramp...

Called my mum and then sister for help to carry my boy later when i reached...

3am set off to deposit my boy and pass Raphael to them... Then Ben say we save abit on parking fees and suggested we parked at the season parking carpark in BM and then take a cab to hospital...

So while i was waiting for him to park his car, standing at the side of the road, i felt like vomitting and the cramp started again... (really is an obvious sign that this is not a fake contraction! haha)
We reached hospital 345am... went straight to Delivery suite...

The nurse told us that Dr Kek happens to be around checking on another patient... just my day!! Saw her calm n usual steady smile, make me feel at ease...
430 dr Kek check...2cm dilated and opt for epidural (she told nurse that i will need it)..hehe...before she tell nurse that i need it, i already knew i need it...coz during pre-admission we have opt for this epidural...

5am epidural came and administer the jab...wah...damn pain...in less than 30mins, i started to shivers all over from top to toes.... shaking badly but i told ben,...better than the contraction pain...

on and off despite shaking, i could feel pressure at the V area...like something opening up...and my lower abs like got something wriggling down...

7am complained pressure at vagina area, told the nurse about it and ask issit normal...

the nurse check dilation 9+cm!! within 2 hours and i was close to full dilation!!!

They ask me to wait another 30mins while the call Dr Kek... so i waited.... the pressure started to get intense but i told myself to wait till my "idol" came....

around 750, the nurses get me into position and prepare me with the pushing exercise...we started to try for 3 cycle...then came our Dr Kek...
8am started to push for real when Dr Kek came.. After 4th cycle, Dr Kek says can see the hair lor...

5th cycle of push baby is out ... Phew

Baby Gabriel is borned ! Weight is 3.68!! heavier than Raphael

On 29th Jan 2011, i am 75kg!! weight is going down!!!

Week 38 Checkup @ 24th Jan

Today was strapped up and having CTG reading for 20mins...as usual...no signs..nothing...no contraction(which i more or less expected it... coz when i was carrying Raphael...also same..)

Then Dr Kek came in to check for bacterial and did some test...then check for dilation...

the surprising thing was that I am 2cm dilated!! wah! and she told me very confidently..."Its ready, anytime, when a real contraction kicks in...the baby can be delivered...in fact if u wan to induce now... it can be done.. But why now... we try to keep baby as long as possible to reduce jaundice and let the lung matured further..."

same old saying "let the baby decide when to come out"....

we were all surprised that its due ANYTIME...at first i was still thinking at most 1cm lar...wah...2cm is alot wor!!! 10cm can give birth liao leh!! wohoooo

now when i am walking...somehow duno issit physcologically thinking...keep feeling its coming out....yucks!!!

will i pass this week without anything? hehe..lets see!

Weekend laundry

This weekend I am focusing more on newborn's laundry as I realized I didn't wash much stuffs for him... Just been thinking it's still early and no rush to wash...

Until these few nights I felt the urgency to Wash as I am in a "anytime due" zone

But looking at 2+years ago where ah phael was induced at close to edd(or his edd)
Somehow I am not sure this little kiddo will come out earlier or simply too Comfy to come out anot

One hand I do not want to spend my CNY in hospital bed as it's also close to my bday
On the other hand, the weight of him is making my every step tougher

Even my knees I also felt the pressure when walking

Haiz... I am still counting down.. Let's see when will he be out!

42 inches walking tv @ week 38 of pregnancy

It's been long since I measured myself and thus since so free at my mum place, I took out the measuring tape and see how big is my tummy is after 38 weeks of stretching from this little Gabriel!!

It's a whooping 16+ inches increases from my original 26inches waist to now 42 inches!

This remind me of how big I was when I was carrying phael and I remembered I was about 42inches when I was at abt 38 weeks too

Heng ah though weight increase was much more this round, appx from 56kg to 79!!23kg increase compared to last time appx 18-19kg increase

My waist is not tt Jialat!! Hahaaaaa

Not sure if its becoz i am due soon but we noticed Raphael been super sticky, super "yang orrr" towards me... hai...

esp in the morning whereby when i reached my mum's place, i will take a short nap..but since duno last week till today, he woke up almost everytime i reached there... pull my arms and demand me to be with him...say that he dun wan me to work blah blah blah...

then will cry and ask for me..haiz!! headache... he will follow me in n out of house, even i go poo poo he also will stand there and wait...as if worried i be lost the next moment... =(

back to our house...he also will follow me in n out...ask me not to sit at the laptop to do work...haiz....

even when i am showering..he also will wan to be there... i tink maybe he sense soon baby is coming out and he will lose his position ba... sometimes this can make me super frustrated and irritated too as i cannot do my stuffs at all...

Sweet Sides of my SON!

Yesterday I was siting at the sofa, with Raphael happily munching the Digestive biscuits beside me...
I was abit hungry coz still waiting for Benji to tabao dinner back for us...

So I make a comment that the biscuit smells so nice... I wished to take a bite in chinese
"哇好香叻。。。好想吃一口饼干！！"

Raphael immediately jumps off the sofa and walk to my mum and tell her to give him 1 piece of digestive as I am hungry and wished to eat in chinese
"Ah Ma! 给我一片饼干。。Mummy 讲她很想吃。。她饿饿了。。快点!!"

Then he passed that to me to eat... As i was eating..feel so touched by his small gestures...Some may feel that its nothing..but to me... It is something heartwarming... He is soooo detailed and attentive!

Then this morning, while I reached my mum's place, he was awake. So when I was going toilet, he again insist to follow me. Usually if I locked the toilet door before he is able to get inside with me, he will bang and cry outside...

Today, since he followed me so closely, no chance to lock it. He told my mum

"你不可以进来啊。。锁门了。。。"

I told him its slippery and not to move about. As usual, he stand at a corner, watching me, smiling away. No foul play, no playing with water, just quietly standing there...

I came to realised...Maybe he is not being naughty to want to be inside, maybe he got another objective...which is to ensure I am all safe and sound and will not slip and fall inside...

This may sound ridiculous as how can a 2.5YO kid knows this? But how do we explain him wanting to be inside and yet he is not playing around or meddling with the stuffs inside the toilet? He is just simply waiting for me to be done, then followed me out as if he accomplished a task...

It seems to start since I am pregnant with #2... before that I do not recall him being so free, wanting to go into the cubicle itself with me...

Next incident was whenever I am vomitting due to the gastric reflux and bad heartburn, he will always insist to be around... He will be the first to rush to the toilet and ask me repeatedly am I OK?

"Mummy 你OK 吗。。。真的啊"

Then try to pat my back...No matter how hard I ask him to go out as I feel its digusting to watch pple puking..He will tell me

"No Problem....没问题。。。" and waited patiently for me to be done..

At times he will pulled toilet paper for me to wipe when i am done...Then followed me out and look at me with those tender loving eyes... What a Darling!

Such sweet gestures really touched me every now and then....

Raphael's innocent Conversation

I knew that the porridge I cooked cannot make it up to my darling Raphael's standard...

never did I expect last nite when we were on the car, Raphael tell me

"妈咪..我饿饿了。。我要吃 Ah Ma 煮的Porridge。。。妈咪煮的 porridge 不好吃。。。Ah Ma 煮的很好吃“

Then I was abit shock and taken aback...wah... i knew he never like to eat the porridge I cooked..but to say such things...sob... so i "challenge" him by saying that next time my mum may not be able to cook for him...then how? I cook he must eat...he still continue on saying how nice grandma porridge is...OMG!!

This boy is so choosy!!

Start of Week 37 - 12-Jan-2010

This week marks the start of my 37th week into pregnancy...Could feel alot of changes in myself...

Back-aching every now and then...having a hard time getting up from lying down position...walk abit my lower body feel alot of pressure.... feel my tummy like drop down abit...hmmm...now can put 2-3fingers between breasts and tummy...

then see more discharge...wondering when will i offload this new darling and see him in person....

alot of movement recently...can feel him pushing when raphael is applying pressure to my tummy..like protesting...

Weight gain is horrible...dun wan to think about it liao...hahaaaa

I need to pack my hospital bag by this week...else really siao liao if i give birth anytime!

also trying hard to educate raphael that yes he is still my #1 love... and he must love Gabriel... =)

Confinement - Red Date Tea~~

Black Dates tea :

Plain water is a no no during confinement period. So new mothers would drink this throughout the day.

Ingredients :

12 red dates, pitted

15 black dates

15g dried longan flesh

20g tong sam

1.5 litres water

Method :

Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and boil on slow heat, preferably overnight.

Serve the tea warm as a drink to the new mother.

Confinement - Nursing Bra.....

Currently had 4 nursing bra and 2 underwired nursing bra...so thought of getting 2 additional so that during my confinement I do not need to wash my laundry so frequently..hahaa.. I even got ready 6-8 pkts of disposable panty so that I dun need to wash them

Abit KS but .... must think of the situation I am in now...make myself happier by spending abit more on those nursing essentials for myself... this bra is really very comfortable..I like!!

Confinement for #2

This round... For #2, we were all happily planning how am I going to spend my 16 weeks of freedom from work and handle the 2 kids alone after my confinement etc...

A huge blow came to me out of a sudden, no warning, nothing...I was caught off-guard... Honestly... Off guard... I never expect my Dad would have to open his new duck rice stall exactly in the month I am giving birth... YES! 20th Feb to be exact... It really put my mood down since last Thursday...

Worst part is, my mum who had promised to do my confinement had to leave me alone after 19th Feb... I have nothing much to say.. Nothing much to comment on this... Even though I tell her my risk of c-sect is there...she told me that it is impossible... and since my #1 is natural birth, #2 will be natural... (Well...she never heard of emerg c sect... haiz)...

To think all these started with a commitment on the helping of stall, ended up quite ugly now...
I dunno why they really weighs SON heavily over Daughter...Am I so worthless to them? Are my 2 kids not important?

Why they only plan for their current situation...and intend to mess up everything becoz of their own precious.... With this... I can forsee them few years down the road, too old to work, no money, their precious UNABLE to support them!

WHy? If he can support them now, would they need to go slog their lives out? Anyway...it was a selfish decision from this person... to commit and backout...then to say he will consider..and then backout and then call n scream at me and say we are forcing him to quit his own job..

Plain selfish person to only think of himself and even got the guts to ASK ME TO QUIT!!! omg...
Whenever I see this person now...give me nothing but black face as if I am the one at fault...

I am going to ban him from entering casino once I start and settle my confinement...

But I am lucky I have supportive sister, mother in law, brother in law and sister in lawssss.... Haiyo...damn touched when they tell me they will render me help if i need...They even help me plan for the worst!!

Lets see how it goes... well...shall hope for the best and i must remind myself not to let it affect me....

New year 2011... Raphael's Milestone..

Raphael is going to the school soon! ~~~ In Year 2011!!!

This Mummy is so excited when she received the call from the Appletree playgroup offering her a placement in the blk just beside her home in SK!!

Yippie! The school fee is reasonable, going at $125 per month, with a 6 months material fee of $85(inclusive of books, school bag and a deposit). The uniform are going at $13 per set!

We will start him in Jan!! Though it will means he may not be able to attend every single lesson but at least he get to mix around with kids and different races around his age!

Once Mummy give birth, he gets to go to school daily till my maternity leave ended in late May!! YEAH!

Week 36 @ 3.113kg!!

Our little boy is growing very well despite mummy trying hard to diet as her weight seems to balloon!

For myself I am weighing at 78.6kg as @ Sat!!
Baby is 3.113kg wor! This is a good weight and Dr Kek reminded me to cut down on sugary food to prevent ah boy from getting too heavy!

Hehee... Will cut down on choc n snacks coz I am still hoping for a natural birth

When Dr Kek ask me if I had any preference: c sect or natural
I told her the best would b natural birth but if she advise against it I will follow her decision

She asked if any preference on dates again told her no as long as she tell me ready then I am ready... Placing absolute trust in her!

She told us that the boy looks like phael!! Look forward to seeing this new darling!

in life, there are only 2 choice..right or wrong..most of us are guided by love and usually make choices base on emotions rather than logical deliberation..

How many times have we, when faced with the cold hard facts, choose to ignore or evade accepting the truth which could hurts. We will instead console ourselves with thoughts that whatever happened is not the worst, and be glad that the worst didn't happen.

What would happen if we continue to hold on to this? well..the worst WILL happen..

Actually what prompted this writing is already bygones and its best to let it rest :) But recent events stirred up emotions when some illogical thinking yet again.. And it seems all turns of events are "orchestrated" by a person for his own benefits..

but who are we to judge, when our decisions are also skewed towards our own self interest..and we are selfish beings by nature..

So far this week been a bad bad week, since Xmas eve, since i had the heartburn and throwing up, I keep having heartburn on n off...

A few nights in a row throwing up and feeling awful... haiz...

Anyway... Been feeling backache recently and started to feel uncomfortable when it comes to going to work esp when sitting for long hours, can break my back...

Well..Endure... I just weighed last nite, 76.5kg....or 77.5kg..I cannot remember... =D

Waistline is appx 41inches !!!!

Raphael loves the purple top alot and wore it from the day I collected, Wednesday night till Friday Morning.... hahaa.. He said that Purple is Charlie ...and he is Charlie!!

Very Bad Heartburn + Reflux!

Last nite was feeling unexceptionally unwell due to the heartburn...as I was lying down I could feel the acid lingering my throat...even when i cough the acid was oredi halfway thru my throat...like getting ready to be exploded...

Couldnt endure and ignore this feel and went to vomit... Raphael was so sensible...when he sees me puking badly...he refused to stay outside the toilet..I was worried I may puke on him....and at the same time I couldnt even stand properly... How to have him with me...Keep asking him to go out..but he refused...

Repeated he asked me "Mummy 你ok吗？真的啊??? Ok 啊"

When I was about to be done... I wanted to sayang him but i tink i was too shaky and scratch his forehead instead...so i keep saying he ok anot...issit painful? He replied me "no problem, 没问题"

Then he keep sayang me and asked me whether am i better etc.... haiyo

So sweet boy...

R&R Day - 22-Dec

It was a off day for me...trying to clear leave and also to take this opportunity to meet up with the Feb 2011 Mummies at Marche 313

Get to sleep till 10am then cheong down to Robinson to utilise my voucher and also see what is on sale... Initially thought of getting milk bottles and some other items but end up buying a Fat Controller from Thomas Train and a guitar for Phael.

Next was the gathering at Marche... Got myself the Lunch special comprising of a skewer of chicken and I added on a cheese hotdog...this set comes with free ice lemon tea...

Then we had some rostti, compliment from Nicole... After that had some desserts... I had brownie with ice cream...cheap lar..brownie only $2.90, ice cream is $4++ per scoop...YUMMY!!

We left Marche around 3++pm as some of the mummies need to leave to run some errands... We took some grp pictures and then some went to shop at Taka while some at Novena square...

Mary, Vicki, Zanta, unicorn and myself we went to Taka for a walk and see see look look... Then went on to cold storage to get some drinks and then parted...Nice gathering!!

Ytd my parents and sister brought Raphael out to vivo to walk walk and had lunch

Heard that they went toy rus and Raphael as usual grab a thomas train tightly and refused to put back... When hoonx say put back it's too exp.. He give that pitiful look as though he is going to cry... Then try to beat my Sis!!

My dad told them... I pay I pay!! Raphael instantly mood swing to a delighted one!!

Hahaa... When I reached home and saw the trains wow! Made of wood and it cost $49.90!! Price very steep and without discount somemore!!

My boy really know how to buy!!

Week 33 Checkup - 18-Dec 2010

Went for our regular checkup and our baby now is 2.37kg as at 33 weeks, Dr Kek commented that he looks like Raphael esp the nose the cheeks area...errr.... i do not know how to "analyze" the black and white 2D scan on screen...so ok lor..she say looks like looks like lor..ahhaaaaa

Then Dr Kek commented that the placenta had shifted up and we can try for natural birth but should there be any complications or uncertainty during the labour, will go for c-sect lor... OK LAR! at least she say got chance...rather than tell me very low lying and die die must C-sec that type...felt more relieved!

I noticed Raphael look forward to every single visit wor...not sure issit the invisible bond between him and Dr Kek(who delivered him)... he seems to be so delighted to see her!!

As usual she gave me a very very 抽象 picture which only she will appreciate....hahaa...when I showed this to my mum..she asked me wat is that??? I told her is the close up of the baby face and the tongue lar!!

Another 6-7weeks of countdown... I told my mum...be prepared to eat reunion dinner at my place...she ask me why...i told her...my EDD is CNY leh...so anytime before CNY...i may give birth..LOL

Pupsik Pouch Craze!!

Nearly forget to blog this down!! As most of pple know, I am super crazy about the Pupsik Pouches... Currently before getting this new reversible one, I have 3, gray, fairground and urban chic....

And i always long for that reversible black color sling..which seems so "hip"...but due to its price... i never buy.... its selling at $69.90!! even with discount...its still around $60!!!

I told myself...maybe I shall wait till the yearly pupsik saleaday... the discounts are always very very attractive and irresistable!! Little did I expect, during the first day of monitoring the wild card sale, this item is going at 30% disc!! LOL.... so i got it for around 50bucks!! wohooo!! made my day..

Raphael who loves "blanket" asked me whether is this for him..I told him yes! He will be the first one to use it followed by DIDI.... not bad not bad!!!

I think it must b due to my age if not is the excessive weight gain for this pregnancy!
I felt more legathic and tired and experience back ache...

Since Monday I could not sleep well and seems like no matter how I turn my back be very "sng"!!!

Just counting down on the no of weeks I am left with and trying to be positive!

Hope that all the aching will go away upon delivery!

Recently started on milkshake to control my weight and so far been successful in keep the weight gain slow n steady! phew...can u imagine i have already gain 18kg!!! wohooo.... as at 33 weeks, i am 75.8kg!!! wah!!

Sometimes it can be very disheartening to hear pple making comments that I am so cold blooded, I buy luxury items for my own son and toys for him... My money I rather splurge than lend it to SOMEONE in need

I shld lend out money to those in need?...but the thing is, do they actually know what happened exactly that caused me to be so extreme and firm in not lending?

If a working person need to borrow money consistently to have his 3 meals at work, something is terribly wrong!

The worst is the food bought are not cheap at all when there are cheaper alternative! Starbucks coffee to Toastbox Breakfast!

Given the pay and amount he is earning, he have more than enough money to eat, to spend to buy things he need.. but the whole thing is he chose to gamble all his salary away in 4D, Toto and mayb casino (who knows)

So why shld i be such a kind hearted idiot to lend money which will dragged and dragged else each month the cycle of borrowing and returning recurred?

pay day return me money, mid month borrow back again... Wah..endless cycle...

What I cannot stand is my own parent who choose to take side and start to find me very "ji jiao"...keep pestering pple to return me..give me faces when i go back...

HELOO....there was a promise to repay me ok... end up become month end return me..middle of month come ask me to lend him again...then month end return me...mid month borrow...

then my original sum owe was left hanging in mid air..coz unable to return..
So sick of all these nonsense and i am not sure issit they side him too much or didnt think about the root of the problem...
Still can tell me since he cannot cut down on 4D...can i cut down on my own personal indulgence like splurging for Raphael and lend him to eat
I told them NO WAY... why shld i be the one cutting down on my expenses and not him? my own hard earn money...it shld be spend happily on my end... i have the rights to splurge and buy watever i wan for my own darling!

Heartburn and vomitting!

Its been quite frequent that I experience heartburn and the spicy feeling rose from chest to throat area.

Just yesterday, this got worst that when we went Vivo to eat...simply no appetite and had that burning sensation in my chest area.... Keep wanting to vomit but controlled...until I reached home and cannot tahan anymore...

haiz...had a hard time puking..becoz the output is damn sour...Raphael is so sweet that he stand beside me while i Puke and keep asking me am I ok... then when i am out..he sayang me repeatedly....sweet!!

Rested earlier last night..hope today will be better... right now the spicy feeling is still there... haiz

Baby dancing in my belly!!

Wow! Its really true that 2nd pregnancy, we can feel the little one inside us more intensely and we are more sensitive to their little kicks!!

Even right now I can feel him moving about... sometimes like tickling me...sometimes pushing me..sometimes making my chest abit short of air...

At times i feel him having hiccups... else is stretching or doing some weird movement causing me discomfort!

Now into end of 31 weeks... in less than 9 weeks time.. he be out!! We have yet to finalise the name of this little one.

This daddy, out of the blue tell me Aaron also not bad! hahaa..so now he is trying to decide between Aaron, Gabriel or XXXXXX

I couldnt see my toes anymore when standing up...sob..something sad ah... and i been extra careful since my last tripped and fall incident... watching out not to lose balance

Yeah! Be handing over my work to my colleagues soon!! Everything settled... time to go on long leave in few weeks time!
